More progress on 'Bharata'-a mural on canvas in acrylic

First , let me introduce the red dragonfly in the temple pond:

More progress on 'Bharata' mural in acrylic on canvas

There has been more progress on Bharata's front.

Anila returned to the studio after a short gap.  To the left is Dr Reghuraj.

 Pravada returns to the studio as well.Mohandas (left) pomised to deliver the materials required to prepare the sub strate..this week.

Team of ten Student-volunteers resolve to paint a new traditional mural

This is the ten-member team of student -volunteers that has resolved to undertake a new Mural on the vacant space to the left of the entrance  of the Trissala Bhagavathi Temple, Mankave Palace, Calicut.

 The new mural is going to be big..the same size as the one on the right..but different..it is going to be completely natural..'We are going to scrape off the wall of its cement, re-plaster it with lime-mortar, mixed with jaggery,etc..the class will be witnessing this procedure for the first time..  '

The day began like this: The Rain stopped just in time..and Athira is the first to walk in to the studio to attend to Bharata.

The others join soon after..Mohandas, Panini, Jishnu,Sudev,Gautam and Arjun.. in that order

The Monsoon rains bring some old students back_ a day at the openstudio

Varuna and Vayu are back in the form of monsoon rains, and so did Athira and Reshmi, they dropped in at the studio this Sunday..

 

Reshmi is quite like Bharata featured in the mural behind. She took Physics, like Bharata grabbed the Lion cub, for graduation and  PG , cleared GATE (Phys) and is being invited to the most prestigious Research Institutes in the country. We wish her all the best.
