The OpenStudio for murals entered its fifth year on Vijayadashami Day ,17th Oct 2010.Some new applicants joined the class on the auspicious day when Vidyarambham - or students are initiated into world of letters and arts.:
After a brief prayer followed by Guru-Vandana, students sit down - the older ones to rededicate themselves and the new applicants get initiated into the fascinating world of murals.You see Arjun,Tejus,Vaishnavi,Gokuland Panini in the above pic.

Vijayadasami last Sunday saw Fresh applicants into the world of Murals
Dhyanasankalpam completed four years on Vijayadashami Day ,last sunday and enrolled about seven new students. The total new admissions this season is became ten.
Panini took to the Canvas as the 'teachers' got caught up in Election Duty:
Plenty of work left to be done with black.
Panini is identifying areas in the canvas where work still remains to be done.
The class is on with(L-R) Vaishnavi,Suraj,Krishna Mohan, Aathira, Tejus, Pravda,Ms Sudha,Rahul,Sreevalsan and Jishnu

Panini is helping out Naveen with the basics.
Tejus II and Sreenivasan, both new admissions, later join the class, as panini attends to TejusI.
With the Temple Festival 2010 around the corner,(Nov 14th to 21st), events for the children in Recitation of Bhagavatgeetha, Aksharaslokam, Prashnottari, and Story-telling were conducted simultaneously, at the venue.

The Class concluded at 13.00 hrs

'Flute Recital'' a mural in acrylic on canvas-a weekly update
Class begins as usual at 10 am. Anila is at the 'Recital'canvas.The bench is full and Panini walks in late.
Finding no place to sit on the bench, he walks to the canvas.Anila is giving finishing touches with black.She shows Panini, the sections that need attention.

Weekly update on Flute Recital-a mural on Canvas in Acrylic
Dr Reghu , Srikanth and Anila took to the canvas armed with the black colour.
The thin lines that create an optical illusion of life and movement in a mural are drawn with precision, patience and passion.
Rahul has started his new mural on canvas- Little Krishna
Jishnu is drawing the brahmin, the one on paper is earlier drawn by Rahul.
Kannan (gokul) is a picture of concentration.
Krishna Mohan ,Tejus and Arjun are busy practising the lines.
There are six students on the bench.
One more new student joins the class: Aathira, class VII.Its her first day at the studio. In the absence of Guru ,Sasi Edavarad, Dina Kumari Teacher, initiates her into the world of murals.
Dina Kumari Teacher begins her work on the Lotus -Plucker( This time , A girl), a fresh reinterpretation of Sittanivasal Cave.
A visit to the 'visual library' at the Dhyanasankalpam Gallery.
Teacher shows Girijakalyanam to Aathira's mother and sister.
